Infosector utarbeider næringsstatistikk for "informasjonssektoren".

Dette omfatter IKT- og medie-sektorene ("Informasjons- og kommunikasjons-sektoren”) - i en næringsstruktur som både er forenklet og litt forvirrende mhp begrepene. Vi har gjort et forsøk på på å beskrive de nye næringsbegrepene, samt sammenhengen mellom informasjonssamfunnet, informasjonsøkonomien og informasjonssektoren. Tallene foran næringsgruppene er næringskodegrupper (NACE, rev. 2 eller SN2007).
